Homeworld 3 Hints

The lads and gals at EG posted some quotes from the crew at Relic Entertainment, in an effort to dig up hints and info on Homeworld 3. Relic has, by the way, acquired the rights to the Homeworld license from publisher Vivendi.

"We're really happy the IP has made its way home, and yeah, we're definitely looking at it. We'll see what happens in the future," Dawn of War II lead designer Jonny Ebbert said.

Here's more:

Asked whether it was one of the studio's current projects, Ebbert said: "There's always that chance." And are they excited about showing it to the world? "Yes, very, very!" he chuckled.

We also tried it on with Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor designer Chris Degnan, asking him how Homeworld 3 was looking. He replied: "As it always has - behind closed doors. Blacked off. Homeworld 3, obviously, I'm not at liberty to tell you anything about. So, good try!"

A new Homeworld game should be a welcome sight for fans of the series, though I must own up I've grown a bit tired of the genre (RTS). Mind you, Homeworld had its own charm, so I guess if they throw in a few cool new elements it might work.

Since we're on the subject, the interesting thing about Homeworld 2 was that it had been regarded a bit difficult by casual gamers. Of course, if H3 should turn up, they should not make the dreadful mistake of making it casual gamer heaven.

FUCK YES.

Don't change any of the basic gameplay elements, just improve the graphics, add new units and a new story. DON'T FUCK IT UP!

Good...I am starting to yearn for a 8 to 1 battlecruisers combat ratio.
The portal mission (preventing the Vagry, or something like that, from destroying the gate) is INSANE !!!!
