New Star Wars: The Old Republic Screens

BioWare wants us to know that they're making progress with their upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic and by the look of the latest screenshots, the game's certainly shaping up quite nicely.

Just to remind you, in this game "players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way, players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players’ actions. Players can also choose to team up with friends to battle enemies and overcome incredible challenges using dynamic Star Wars combat."

For additional info and media, check out the official Star Wars: The Old Republic web site.

That manga meets Star Wars shit still looks retarded as fuck. They need to cancel this game and start over making SWG 2 with "realistic" or at least normal game-y graphics.

OMFG! finally good news. I want that game.

Why must they resort to turning kotor3 into a mmo? I really don't understand why they couldn't just make a really good single player game, like kotor.

To be quite frank, I'm starting to get annoyed at Star Wars now, they are thinning out and watering out every inch of the Star Wars franchise and turning it into some Jean Claude Van Damme or Steven Segal scenario, where it's the same shit over and over. Seriously, you read the description, it reads like the previous 2 games. And on a side note, SWOG pfailed miserably and so will this. It's going to be another half assed attempt at an MMORPG like LOTR which will play shit, graphics might be nice and will have all the movie sound files -again- and everyone will be too hardcore fans to admit that it is just that...shit. Yet another franchise I've just stopped supporting. *puts SW next to PoP & LOTR* Mainstream FTW eh?

I'm disappointed to see another jump on the bandwagon of online games just to earn money. Galaxies was bad enough, but now they replace KOTOR 3 with an online version.

Still, if this turns up to be any good, it just might be the first online RPG i'll try.
