Medal of Honor series peaked at Omaha beach landing when they copypasted Saving Private Ryan.
Then the devs went on to make the first Call of Duty, while EA continued making uninspired sequels. And then Activision went on to make uninspired, but more successful sequels.
So in a sense, the Omaha beach scene from Saving Private Ryan has been the root of at least 10+ games and a style of iconic, cinematic gritty combat that we have seen over and over.
I wonder if Janusz Kaminski has any idea of what he has done to video gaming?
