The game comes off somewhat average when it comes to graphics. We've seen poor textures on many objects and surfaces throughout most of the game's surroundings. We expect things to improve for the upcoming PC version. Everything else is pretty solid. The characters look convincing and every mission successfully conveys fairly authentic battle situations.
It's easy to get immersed in Vegas 2. Everything that made the previous game enjoyable, works perfectly here as well - the cover mechanics, cool maps, etc. The multiplayer is fun, but denotes a number of restrictions which weren't present in the previous game. Likewise, technical issues are present, with the situation getting worse when engaging enemies in single-player. Such symptoms, though sporadic, made the game look unpolished. Visually, we've seen very little improvement too.
This is supposed to be a sequel and most of the time it just doesn't feel like one.
Despite these downsides, however, Vegas 2 is a challenge in single-player and offers a fair choice of maps. New additions are a welcomed sight indeed, providing new weapons, exp. points, ranks and so on. Multiplayer is bound to keep you occupied and the fact that you can overcome battle situations in a unique way each time, offers a solid amount of replayability.

ACTIONTRIP SCORE 7.9 Good Opens the possibility for different tactics in combat, the maps, cool new additions such as exp. points and running, engaging multiplayer modes; Not much of a storyline, AI glitches, frame-rate issues, reduced multiplayer features since the last game, essentially the same experience as in the original R6: Vegas.
