| » All About Clive Barker's Jericho on ActionTrip | ||
Technically speaking, Jericho passes the grade. The 3D effects are passable and the AI (though hardly memorable) is good enough not to distract from the action (I'm mostly referring to your teammates here). The good news is that Jericho will run great on mid range rigs as well. I played it on an AMD 4000+, 2GB RAM, ATi 1950Pro rig and had no problems getting it to work in high settings and in wide-screen 1680x1050 resolution.
The voice acting is professionally done and the musical score gets much better as you get deeper into the campaign.
Though Jericho is no Undying, the game does have its moments. I guess I would recommend it to Clive Barker fans. Bear in mind that there are obvious drawbacks to it, too. If you can live with the abovementioned issues (mostly concerning the tedious elements in the level design and its appearance), you will find stuff that you can like in this one.
Should one buy Jericho?
With the upcoming flood of titles like Crysis and Mass Effect, there is a very good chance that Jericho will simply remain overlooked and forgotten.

ACTIONTRIP SCORE 7.1 Good Squad-based combat, action can get intense, some of the twisted shit by Clive Barker, musical score; Repetitive and tedious level design, repetitiveness in the game design in general, bland environments, tacky story moments, a few path finding issues with your teammates.
