» All About FireStarter on ActionTrip

Engulfed in the UT 2004 hype, modern-day gamers are likely to give this one a pass. FireStarter may not measure up to the glamorous Unreal technology and you certainly won't find any huge outdoor maps with land vehicles and aircrafts to mount (like in UT 2004). Since the game is stripped of any online features it's safe to say it won't grab much (any -Six) attention amongst the average multiplayer gaming crowd, but the single-player portion of the game can be interesting for those who wish to enhance their proficiency in contemporary first-person shooters. Additional features such as different playable characters, upgradeable skills, and challenging AI, can make for a satisfying gaming experience. The best part is that, as promised, GSC Game World launched the game with a reasonable price - $19.95. So at least you don't have to squander fifty bucks just to try the game out.

HIGHS
Fast-paced, easy to get into, challenging AI, solid level design, a few decent tracks, price tag;

LOWS
Environmental design is a bit too murky, spawned items are surveyed through frequently annoying and erratic camera movement, no online support(!), short single-player campaign.
