Good

HIGHS
Fun, humorous, infested with millions of uncanny-looking bunnies, excellent audio, multiplayer, acceptable price-tag;

LOWS
Single-player story mode is short, some mini-games are repetitive, a few occasional bugs, the game was clearly designed for the Wii-mote.

» All About Rayman: Raving Rabbids on ActionTrip

The artwork is bizarre, funny and unique, which makes things a bit more interesting for players as they beat the crap out of all those annoying rabbids. Although we didn't see anything jaw-dropping, the graphics are crisp and quite satisfying for a game of this caliber - given that we're talking about a bunch of mini-games all rolled into one product. Audio design has obviously been done with great care, since most challenges and events greatly depend on sound effects. Everything else works just fine, from the utterly whacky bunny screeches to the splendid variety of tunes on offer.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is apparently perfect for having fun on the Wii console in the company of your friends or family. On the PC, things are a bit different. What's more, it's hardly a satisfying single-player experience, since it doesn't take you more than one day of intense playing to go through the whole thing.

Be warned that as soon as you've finished the game, you'll have nightmares about being stalked by millions of big-toothed raving rabbids. The bright side of the spectrum is that the PC version of RRR costs 20 bucks, so at least it's not so steep a price to pay for beating the living daylights out of scores of nasty rabbits. The Wii version still costs 50 big ones, but there's a world of difference between experiencing this game with a Wii-mote and playing via the PC mouse-keyboard.

That scripted bug you mention was the exact bug i encountered too. Probably at the exact same location, but after a retry, it worked perfectly.

Undoubtedly the most fun PC game to come out in a while, if you discount sam&max. I felt some of the mini-games suited a keyboard/mouse combo better than the wiimote but i can imagine how the fun might double with a wiimote on the rest of the games. Anyone who has a pc but no wii should absolutely buy this. Masterpiece translation onto pc, not a bad port at all. Well written review and perfect score of 70.

It deserves a purchase only for the booty shake part of the game. Man, misirlou on booty shake blew me away.

The bug thing was weird indeed and most unexpected, since the rest of the game ran smoothly.

It was silly, it was childish, and it was fun. Sorry to contradict Vik but it wasn’t a masterpiece, it was just "not bad". The songs were the most memorable.
