Sacrifice Multiplayer Tricks by Dave Perry, Shiny's CEO and the guy that usually says, hey let's make......

The 'trick' is to use the hot keys. (Simple as that)

So you run for the nearest fountain, casting 4 Manahoars all the way there. Press M to create the manalith... Then hit Z to speed yourself up and zip around collecting souls... During travel, keep making flying creatures as they will keep up with you zipping around.

Use the map and the mini-map to help steer the fastest course from soul to soul (think of it as a land grab - get out FAST, get everything, then retreat back to build up)

Then teleport everyone back to you altar and gently build up the big force.

To make sure all your creatures make it back after a teleport, issue a retreat command (right click -> down -> right

Now you have all your creatures around you...

Set the manahoars to group 9 and tell them to guard you in semi-circle formation, then right click on yourself so they guard you

Set your flying creatures to line formation, guard you (group 1)

Set your long range creatures to semi-circle formation, guard you (group 2)

Set your fighting creatures to the triangle formation (right click, move up then right), guard you (group 3)

Now as you face your enemy, the manahoars and long range creatures will stay back out of harms way and the fighting creatures will dive right in and the flying creatures will all fire at once as they are in a line.

If you have some kind of shield you can cast on yourself then do it just before engaging the enemy as it means you can concentrate on the enemy better.

When you see the enemy wizard run for you, target EVERYONE you have on him. Fire every spell, every creature on his ass. That usually will take him out leaving his creatures at your mercy until he returns, so kill them and press C to convert their souls quickly. Also heal your wounded troops through their icons and replace any that died.

Remember the best place to fight a battle is with your back to a manalith you own. So, it's a great strategy to taunt and pull him to where YOU want the showdown to happen.

When you are converting a soul, press Z to speed up the little guy that takes it back to your altar. Also if you can build a shrine in the middle of the map, then do it as it will make the convert process a LOT faster. (A KEY tactic if you have plenty of manaliths!)

Bind your HEAL icon to your E key by pressing - CTRL/SHIFT E when pointing to the HEAL icon. That means that during battle, you just tap E and click on yourself to get energy back. To heal your important troops during battle, tap E and click on their icon on the left side of the screen.

Bind your SPACEBAR to your projectile spell (like WRATH), so that during a battle, if you see a guy carrying off one of your valuable souls, just hit spacebar and click on him then continue what you are doing. The homing projectile spells will kill him and get your soul back. It's just CTRL/SHIFT SPACEBAR whilst holding the cursor over the projectile spell.

So during intense battle, keep a big focus

Then come out fighting!!!
