» All About Scrapland on ActionTrip

Besides the single-player campaign, the game also features a very Descent-like MP mode that has you battling other ships in death match skirmishes: nothing to write home about, but certainly a nice addition that slightly bumps up the game's replay value.

There's little doubt in my mind that Scrapland is a unique and interesting game. Unfortunately, it comes at a very inopportune time and its single-player may not be as addictive as some would hope. Still, it presents players with a unique twist to the sub-genre as well as a highly imaginative and beautifully designed game world that will let you lose yourself in all the unique characters and environments as well as the often humorous dialogue. I recommend the game to those who are looking for some of that old-school Lucas Arts charm to go with Descent-like dogfights and GTA style of story progression.

HIGHS
Unique and interesting game world, story, humor, art design, the relatively free-form style of game play;

LOWS
The missions can get dreary and mundane, inconsistent voice acting, not as addictive as it could've been.
