If you really are a freak and have nothing better to do, you can dedicate more time to your skater and change practically everything abut the way he looks, from his face and hair all the way down to his toes, including elbow and knee pads and other accessories. You can even turn him into a robot or a skeleton. All these details are clearly visible on your character - I could even see the ring that I've put on his right hand.

Apart from being colorful, the game can also boast with a terrific soundtrack including some easily recognizable rock, punk and hip-hop tunes. You're not likely to get tired of it, but if you do, you can exclude some of the songs and make your own playlist, or play some music of your choice. I remember playing Faith No More's Midlife Crisis all the time, liking it and letting the world know how much I liked it (We have heard it so much that we have banished Nikyerm to listening to this song using her headphones. In another building. Inside a soundproofed, plastic-walled room. [Where we torture her. - Smap] - Six). Various sounds in the game are of very good quality, starting with the sound of your board on different terrains (from asphalt to gravel and sand) all the way to the sound of water sprinklers in the fountain and glass and metal when you happen to hit them. Voice acting is also done pretty well and is not without its charm.
THUG2 has a great story mode and multiplayer and features a classical mode for all those nostalgic fans of the series on new, colorful and really huge levels. I am sure fans will love to unlock new characters and discover hidden areas, not being afraid to show their violent side. (Extra points are received for destruction, go and break those windows, kids!) I was amazed at my ability to skate down a tower all the way to the port, performing a stunning spin in the air and hitting another skater while landing. My jaw literally fell open as only half an hour ago my only hope of stopping was hitting something of convincing size, such as a wall. My comment changed from "Where are the f*king brakes on this piece of sh*t?!" to "Wow, look at me, I'm flying... argh" and I realized I love this game.
Verdict? Well, this one will be liked both by hardcore fans of the series and by the newcomers (who will do well by choosing the "easy" level of difficulty. "Insane" level is really insane, at least for a non-sports person like me. And yes, TH now has difficulty settings). This is basically the same game with a lot of new material and several new options and changes in the game play. One such novelty is the focus look, which you gain when you fill the meter and the 360° Natas spin on a fire-hydrant. You are also allowed to show your creativity by creating a skating park or new tricks for your character, and I don't have to mention the enormous replay value that this one possesses. THUG2 is a challenge that is definitely worth seeing and playing.
![]() 9.0 Excellent Very addictive and fun to play; beautifully designed, huge levels; improved and new options and impressive tricks; fantastic character animation; Very difficult game, even on the easiest level; frustrating to play on the keyboard, awkward save system, some minor clipping issues.
