There are a lot of things we can learn from 2012. For example, the fact that we don't need that many sequels. In fact, there should be a law that forbids the release of any sequel or reboot for a year or two. It would be cool to see what developers would come up with. Seriously, I don't see any other way to end this sequel madness. Do you?
Another year just went by, in case any of you didn't notice. Suppose you were too busy building that Millennium Falcon in Minecraft... or was that me? Never mind. We've seen a huge amount of great games this year and some immensely crappy ones...

Good morning, people. It has been an interesting year to say the least. When we first started compiling all the games for our Game of the Year 2012 feature, it seemed like it was going to be little to choose from. Also, it was a whole lot easier last year, when Skyrim completely blew away the competition...
ActionTrip's Game of the Year 2012 Voting Poll is going to be up during the entire weekend and will be taken down on Monday, so make sure you cast your votes if you haven't. For the time being, Far Cry 3 is way in the lead, with Assassin's Creed 3 and Mass Effect 3 still clinging to second and third spots on the poll...

The photo you've just seen is everyone in the world having an orgasm at the same time. Hm, now what did I want to say? Oh yes, we're almost done with the year 2012, folks and for that matter I think I'm gradually getting sick of all the crappy games we get every year...

Top of the morning to ya, folks. Any idea what you'll be doing for the holidays? Apart from playing games that is... By the way, what will you be playing anyway? I think I just might return to XCOM: Enemy Unknown myself. Honestly, that's about the only game I can think of in 2012 that warrants another proper playthrough. I dunno... What else is there I ask you? Mass Effect 3? Yeah, right.

When it comes to gaming delights in this dry and dull time of the year, what does one turn to, I wonder? There has to be something other than D3. A good friend of mine recommended that I try Anno 2070, which I never played, although I hear it's really good...

Wow, according to the data we have, it seems that there won't be a lot to play during the summer. Following the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, the only other interesting release is Darksiders II and the upcoming PC version of From Software's Dark Souls...

Who in the flying tit would be stupid enough to believe that the world will end in 2012? For all those nincompoops who are convinced this is going to happen, allow me to vomit in your general direction. Let me ease your pain and general fears about the end of the fucking world...

Here we are. The year 2012. We made it. It's been a very interesting winter so far. I've been up in the mountains for a bit, man it's a snowy wonderland up there - pretty awesome. Unfortunately, the kid was sick every single day, so it wasn't exactly a picnic...

Snow has finally touched this part of the world. Feeling nice, warm and cozy here at the office though. Sipping my cup of coffee and working on the AT GotY awards. Yep, the Winter's here alright. We'll be spending most of our spare time indoors, and luckily for us geeks there's gonna be plenty to do for the Holidays...

2012 - Roland Emmerich's latest end-of-the-world bonanza. Watched the damn thing a few days ago. Bloody hell, what possessed me to do that? Well, just let me recap for a sec. I did enjoy The Day After Tomorrow and most of Emmerich's mindless blockbuster movies (always remember to leave the brain out the door for those), but this is a bit different...
Next year's summer blockbuster lineup includes 2012. Now, I'm definitely a sucker for disaster movies and nobody does them better than Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, etc.). Sure enough, they're always cheesy, but which Hollywood movie isn't? These days it's all about the special effects anyway and I sure as hell enjoyed the 2012 brief teaser trailer. Global warming, baby! The ultimate source of entertainment.
