After a long period of silence regarding the shooter XCOM, 2K Games finally started throwing some crumbs our way. In other words, they've dispersed earlier reports that the game is in trouble and are, apparently, preparing to unveil an 'evolved' version of XCOM...
2K hasn't breathed a word regarding the status of its shooter set in the XCOM universe. The game seemed rather promising at one point. However, it's been some time without any info or media on the game, with the project suffering delays and with reports of the developers shifting to another genre...
Take-Two Interactive confirms that Borderlands 2, the RPG-flavored shooter, sold nearly six million copies. Back in October 2012 it was noted that the game shifted approximately five million and the publisher continues to see it as one of the most successful releases in 2K's history (thanks CVG)...
Take-Two revealed that they are creating a MMOG, utilizing the Civilization setting. With a working title Civilization Online, the game is meant to target Asian markets specifically and, according to the publisher, there's a crew of 100 people at XL Games (South Korea) devoted to the project...
2K Games announced that BioShock Infinite is going to hit stores in the US on October 16, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. The international release is set to come out on October 19, 2012. "After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition...
Take-Two Interactive has revealed its latest financial results (which aren't exactly good - the company reports losses) and in the process have confirmed the delay of the forthcoming game, XCOM. The game is going to arrive during fiscal 2013, instead of the initially expected Fiscal 2012...

Well-known publisher Take-Two Interactive has been sued by a former temporary QA worker who was employed at Visual Concepts, based in California. These guys have worked on various stuff from 2K, such as NBA, MLB and NHL titles. The worker, Aaron Martinez, claims that people in the qualify assurance team did not receive adequate pay for all the hours they've worked...
Originally, 2K Games and Digital Extremes intended to launch the action adventure sequel this year in October. The Darkness II just got a new release date - February 7, 2012 in North America and February 10, 2012 worldwide. The game features "a brutal and personal narrative as gamers take control of Jackie Estacado...
Well, this is historical news, no matter what your opinion is of the game (if you've already purchased it, that is). Anyway, the unthinkable has happened and 2K Games and Gearbox Software announced that legendary Duke Nukem Forever has arrived and is now available in North America on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC...
So, then, Duke Nukem Forever, thoughts? Personally, I don't know what to think anymore. Clearly the project was given to someone who can actually bring a development cycle to a close (i.e. Gearbox). The guys at Gearbox are known to churn out pretty solid games, so I'm hoping that, despite my incredible skepticism, DNF makes it to stores and delivers a fun FPS experience (as it did in the past).
This is it. This is really, really and undeniably it. The proper release date... or is it? Well, as far as 2K Games and Gearbox are concerned, May 6, 2011 is now the official release date for Duke Nukem Forever. "When I said goodbye to 3D Realms and the original Duke Nukem 3D team in 1997 and soon after founded Gearbox Software...
The PC edition of Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2 is on its way apparently, despite reports earlier this month that 2K won't be releasing it. Here's the company's explanation as to why they wanted to can the DLC initially: When we announced that Protector Trials...

2K Games announced that 'Joe's Adventures' the third round of downloadable content for the crime game, Mafia 2, is coming worldwide to the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC later this year...
Oh dear God! Just how in the hell am I supposed to feel about this? They officially announce the release of a game that was supposed to be released 12,000 centuries ago? Give us a launch trailer and just kick this thing out the door already. That's right, the forever-in-development-but-never-released shooter -- Duke Nukem Forever -- is finally going to see the light of day...
