This whole business with Ubisoft's PC DRM for Assassin's Creed II has got me
thinking. Legit players were pissed off because the protection system turned
out to be a shambles - the game kept crashing for many users and other issues were noted.

company's recent releases such as Silent Hunter V and Assassin's Creed II, requires

According to a post over at the Ubisoft Forums, the France-based publisher
will be compensating Assassin's Creed 2 owners who experienced recent server
outages. There was a similar compensation offered to Silent Hunter V players
recently.

said: "we would like to reward your patience if you have experienced any
problems by offerring you some additional content – previously only available
with special editions."

Valve's popular PC digital distribution service Steam seems to have removed
Ubisoft titles Assassin's Creed 2 and Silent Hunter V from its service in the
UK. The first obvious reason for this would be because of Ubisoft's new strict
DRM measures of both titles...

Yesterday there have been reports on the official Assassin's
Creed II forums about Ubisoft's DRM authentication servers crashing, with
players having to endure lengthy login periods when booting up the game. For

round of DLC for Assassin's Creed II, called Bonfire of the Vanities. Get
this, it comes in two variants - the "vanilla" variant, which will cost 320
Microsoft Points ($4) and offers a continuation of the main story set in a new

Ubi CEO confirms the game will also be set in Rome.

Scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Battle of Forli, the DLC for Assassin's Creed
II is heading towards PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. It's good news if you plan to grab it and continue playing the game (personally, I still cannot get used to all this DLC crap). Check out the AC II DLC trailer:
