A few new stills have released from the Assassin's Creed movie, which stars Michael Fassbender and Jeremy Irons. The movie is set in 15th-century Spain with the assassin Aguilar. From the looks of the stillshots, it appears that some of the movie will take place in the present as well, in true early Assassin's Creed fashion. The movie will release on December 21, 2016. If rumors are to be believed, then this may be the only major Assassin's Creed experience we have this year.

The live-action movie of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series is scheduled for an August 2015 release, but that may not go according to plan after all. Deadline has reported that the script is going to be rewritten by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, both of whom worked under Ridley Scott for Exodus: Gods & Kings. Michael Fassbender will still star in and co-produce the film, but no other cast members or even a director have been announced.
