id Software releases a new teaser trailer for their new game, Rage: Okay, we assume we'll finally get some gameplay footage during this year's QuakeCon, which kicks off at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine - August 13-16, 2009.

On August 21, the world will get its first look at director James Cameron’s motion picture epic AVATAR, when Twentieth Century Fox and Cameron debut the film’s trailer everywhere – while select cinemas and IMAX theaters will screen extended footage prepared by the renowned filmmaker for this global “Avatar Day” event...

The Comic Con is in full swing, so expect plenty of trailers and other media to come in today. Also, everyone on the show floor of this year's San Diego Comic Con is talking about only one thing - Cameron's Avatar. The footage displayed during the event, apparently blew audiences away. Unfortunately us poor sobs have to wait until August 21st to witness the first public footage (or trailer), which is slated to hit cinemas on the aforementioned date.

To any of you out there who are looking forward to Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit, the prequel of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, it's just been confirmed that the celebrated director still hasn't completed the script, so it may take some time...

The Comic Con 2009 is just around the corner. The event takes place in San Diego, CA, from July 23 to July 26. LucasArts plans to showcase a number of its games during this year’s event. Those attending the show will be able to check out Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes...

Nothing's certain at this point, of course. UK IGN reports that during the NY Comic Con '09 a few hints were made that we might witness a Gears of War prequel. Joshua Ortega, the writer of Gears of War 2, addressed attendees New York Comic-Con Gears of War panel...

The New York Comic Con has a special gamer summit lined up, with an opening presentation from Epic Games. The summit is scheduled for the last day of the Comic Con (April 20). As revealed, Epic plans to offer "a glimpse into" its recently announced Xbox 360 title, Gears of War 2 (view the GDC 2008 trailer here)...
