According to recently gathered sales data, the console market in Europe is about 153 million units in size. The numbers apply to the period as of December 2010 and the Wii is in the lead (as you'd normally expect), but the PS3 is slightly ahead of Xbox 360. Angry Birds marketing lead Peter Vesterbacka said at the South by Southwest Interact conference that consoles are dying. Presumably he means that his product is the way of the future. Consoles will have to continue to either change and evolve or simply become cheap computers.
