Delays should never worry you too much, you know; especially if it's a one-week
or a one-month delay, like Batman: Arkham City (read yesterday's news). Otherwise,
don't fret about such short delays. Of course, if a game (any game) suffers
a slightly longer delay, it means the devs need more time to polish things and
that's good...

As you probably already know, the
unbelievable has happened. Duke Nuke Forever has gone
gold and now Gearbox has also released the launch
trailer for the game (which, naturally, has more boobage, as most of the
previous ones). Take a look:
VIDEO: DNFLaunchtr.flv
Duke Nukem Forever is going to be available in stores on June 14 for PC, Xbox
360 and PlayStation 3.

So, then,
Duke Nukem Forever, thoughts? Personally, I don't know what to think anymore.
Clearly the project was given to someone who can actually bring a development
cycle to a close (i.e. Gearbox). The guys at Gearbox are known to churn out pretty
solid games, so I'm hoping that, despite my incredible skepticism, DNF makes it
to stores and delivers a fun FPS experience (as it did in the past).

Don't think things will change much in the future. Although it seems like we
may actually play DNF next year, I just have this weird familiar feeling...
AT COMIC: Back
to the Future of Nukem
Oh and this is officially AT comic no. 400. Wow, that's a lot of comics.

Ah crap, my vacation is coming to an end. Waving goodbye to the lovely seashores
of Greece, hopefully not for the last time. Gonna be back in the office on Monday
to continue the usual work (looks like I have a tremendous amount of reviews
to do)...

Oh dear God! Just how in the hell am I supposed to feel about this? They officially
announce the release of a game that was supposed to be released 12,000 centuries
ago? Give us a launch trailer and just kick this thing out the door already.
That's right, the forever-in-development-but-never-released shooter -- Duke
Nukem Forever -- is finally going to see the light of day...

Oh wow! It's leaked footage from a game that's been in development for more
than 12 years and has never ever seen the light of day. Still, I guess it's
better than releasing one absurdly tiny thumbnail per year (which they have done
so many times in the past). Overall, I honestly do not know what to say about
this shit any longer. Judge it as you will:

I vowed not to get involved in anymore news, rumors or even official reports
of any kind regarding Duke Nukem Forever, but what the heck, I see we're looking
at yet another slow news days, so I guess it won't do any harm in posting what
I'm about to post.
Anyway, have a look at the following news tidbit and tell me what you think.
I know what I think.
At this point, I think swimming in the city's raw sewage is more interesting than reading more DNF news.

Shack reports
that the ongoing battle between Take-Two and 3D Realms, concerning Duke Nukem
Forever, just got a bit more, well, serious. Take-Two alleges that some offshore
banking shenanigans took place: "upon information and belief, [3D Realms/Apogee

Okay, here's a little something from George Broussard's twit.
It basically says that DNF has reached some sort of major milestone (thanks
VE3D):
Closing out a milestone this week. 71 more tasks to do and we started with
probably 800-900. Been a good push. Next one starts Monday.
Whatever.

Yesterday, a report on Dallas
Business Journal uncovered an alleged "late 2008" release date for Duke
Nukem Forever, on top of information regarding the plans for console editions
of the game. The report quoted 3D Realms' Scott Miller who, mind you, wasn't
too confident about the disclosed info: "We haven't formally announced any platforms
for DNF...
