At EGX last week, Frontier Development announced a few expansions that will grace Elite Dangerous: Horizons this holiday season. The GDC brought a lot of interesting news this year, amongst which is that Frontier's space shooter Elite: Dangerous, currently available only on Windows PC, is going to make its way to Xbox One (as confirmed by Microsoft's Phil Spencer). During Phil Spencer's GDC presentation, he covered a little more into how Windows 10 and Xbox One will work together, and in the process, dropped the bomb that Elite Dangerous will go to Xbox One. Elite Dangerous is a massively multiplayer online space simulator that has captured numerous PC gamers, including our own Vince. Elite: Dangerous is entering its alpha test phase, which is focusing on single-player combat and it gives players a chance to dig into Elite: Dangerous for the first time. It appears that Frontier Developments' project Elite: Dangerous has garnered over 1,310,000 in funding, getting closer to its 1,500,000 stretch goal (the original goal was 1,250,000). Way to go, Frontier! Now, shut up and work, work, work! Oh yes, and apparently if they reach 1.5 mill, that means 10 more ships are going to be added the game (hm, ten more ships are worth 250k? Amazing. How the fuck does that economy work then?) Source.
