However, you know that awful feeling when you want to share something cool and funny with someone, but they completely crap over your enthusiasm by writing one word - "meh...

What an utterly gorgeous, completely perfect rainy and cold morning. Almost makes you glad to be alive. Let the rain and fog and frozen, shitty weather come. We can take it. Us geeks I mean. I by that I mean we can take it by staying at home, all warm and cozy, with a nice, hot and juicy cup of brilliant, tasty, completely awesome coffee tea and decent game by our side. So, who needs beautiful sunny weather? We crave rain.

Well, drown me with sea water and call me an octopus, I've made a colossal jump from a sunny paradise into a devastating geek hell hole where I'm playing several games at once, including Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Mafia 2, H.A.W.X. 2 and Halo: Reach. In other words, all it took was a few games and I'm back in the perilous dimension of nerdish oblivion where only those with the most pimples and the longest virgin track record survive.

Behold! The unspoken nobility of nerdsmanship!

For the first time in God knows how long, I went to bed at 8 p.m. last night. No games, no TV, no late-night work, no sex, no food or anything else. Straight to bed. Haven't slept this good in years. It's good to turn in early every now and then...

Aaaand it's snowing again! I can't fucking believe this. Oh well, back to the finer things in life. Dragon Age, a warm cup of coffee, late-night gaming sessions... sweet. Even got myself all those nasty-ass DLCs, just for the fun of it. And, yes, it is great. Enjoyed the new quests (although there is but a handful of 'em). Also, this is just the sort of warm up I need before Awakening arrives (March 16, baby!). I'm as giddy as a geek should be.

Nothing undermines my work more than having somebody who doesn't know zilch about gaming say the following: "These games are crap. They seem completely pointless to me." The person who said that to me yesterday is a notorious old-school geek, if you can believe it...

I'm a vanilla kind of guy. Vanilla is my flavor. So what if it's plain. Just so you know, I'm not a shallow or dull person. Deep underneath layers and layers of geekness there lies an intelligent, sensitive and caring person, who is really quite awesome once you get to know him. Shut up, I AM!

Well this is the first time I'm surprised about Rage. But not in a good way. What they appear to be doing with the new technology -- id Tech 5 Engine -- looks okay, although not the technological brilliance we were promised or the kind of breakthrough graphics we'd come to expect from a such a talented developer...

Do you think God is up there, watching over us the whole time or is he too busy watching and endless amount of crap on YouTube? The way things are these days, I assume it's the latter. Besides, God has never shown much interest in the geekish community (or in anything else for that matter)...
