February sales for gaming hardware and software (as usual, courtesy of NPD)
amounted to $1.06 billion, marking a 20% year-on-year decline (from February
2010's $1.33 billion).

Here are the US hardware sales for the month of June:
Xbox 360 - 507,000
Nintendo DS - 386,000
Wii - 273,000
Nintendo - 3DS - 143,000
At the moment, neither Sony or NPD have revealed any data about how many PS3 units were sold during that same period.

Some analyst is saying that the Kinect outsold the PlayStation Move by a margin of 5:1 in November. Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter also reports that Kinect bundles made up half of all Xbox sales, while PlayStation Move bundle sales only account for one fifth of the PlayStation 3's November sales...

It's been a pretty good month for the gaming industry in the US. People were
buying shit left and right it seems, and the Nintendo DS and Xbox 360 emerged
as the hottest platforms in November. So, yeah Micorosft's consoles outsold
both the Wii and the PS3 during that time...

During
July 2010, Microsoft's Xbox 360 was the best-selling piece of gaming hardware
across the US. As we've reported a while back, that did not occur since 2007.
The hardware sales for August are just in (as provided by NPD). They show that
the console is once more the most wanted platform, selling over 350,000 units
in that particular part of the world...

Just so you know, Red Dead Redemption sold 582,900 units on Xbox 360 and 380,300
units on PlayStation 3, bringing the game's total U.S. sales to date up to nearly
2.5 million. This made Rockstar's title US top-seller for 2010 so far.

NPD group revealed the sales data for May 2010. As expected, Rockstar's Red
Dead: Redemption is on the very top of the chart, as last month's top-selling
game. The game sold a combined 1.5 million units in Xbox 360 and PS3 variants.

Microsoft issued their latest financial results uncovering an interesting
sales figure. It appears (if their data is accurate) that the Xbox 360 now sold
over 40 million units. The popular console launched back in 2005, selling at
just under 10 million consoles a year.
Meanwhile, the company also experienced a recent slowdown in sales for the
console, marking an approx. 12% drop compared to this time last year.

NPD's latest software and hardware sales data shows a 6% growth for the US
games industry during in March.According to NPD analyst Anita Frazier commented
that March saw the first non-holiday year-on-year increase of sales since Feb.
2009, and the month was the third best non-holiday month ever recorded...

ended January 31 (cheers Edge).

Sony announces that during the holidays retail sales of PS3 during the five
weeks following the last week of November 2009 exceeded 3.8 million units worldwide,
which represents a 76% increase in hardware sales compared to the same period
last year (the highest record sales for PS3 for a holiday period)...
