Big Huge Games offers its own take on the genre, bringing us into an open world, filled with quests, items, weapons and all the boxes you can smash to your heart's content...

Morning folks. Another working week comes to a close and we celebrate whoever invented the weekend all those years ago (hm, shame they didn't invent a three-day weekend). Anyway, our upcoming reviews for Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Kingdoms of Amalur will suffer a slight delay due to the fact that I feel like crap. It's probably a stomach flu of some sort, but suffice it to say I cannot remain seated in a chair for too long and... Um, I'll be right back...
So guys, you playing anything interesting? I'm nearly done with the FFXIII-2 review and I'm well into Kingdoms of Amalur. For those of you who don't know, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoining is already out you can grab it for consoles and it's now on Steam too.
Big Huge Games' open-world single-player RPG is almost upon us and the developers have released the launch trailer for the game: VIDEO: kingdamalurlaunchtr.flv Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning hits retailers on February 7, so, be prepared. We'll be getting our copy later today, so that's something to be excited about I guess (after I'm done with FFXIII-2, of course).

Here to get us out of the dull dry spell after the Holidays, is the RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Well, not the entire game, sadly. It's just the demo. But that's something, I guess. Anyway, you can now download the demo via Xbox Live and through Steam - PS3 users will be able to grab it via PSN later today...
