It appears that Activision Blizzard reached a settlement of its $400 million
claim against EA that was part of a legal dispute that was supposed to kick
off a week from now with the Modern Warfare 2 devs.
Activision lawyer Beth Wilkinson said: "Activision and Electronic Arts have

Despite a somewhat grim outlook for the legal dispute
between Blizzard and Valve, it seems that both companies managed to settle
the battle over the DOTA license. As you know, Valve is keen on pushing their
project DOTA 2 to the end, whereas Blizzard owns the rights to the universe

Ah, DOTA - a once popular mod for Warcraft III, but now apparently the source
of a potentially long-drawn-out legal dispute. Well, of course, we all knew
this was bound to happen sooner or later. The folks over at Kotaku have reported
that development studios Valve Software and Blizzard Entertainment commenced
a legal battle over the name DOTA (Defense of the Ancients)...

The case against the Xbox modder has been dropped. Matthew Crippen was being sued for modifying consoles to enable them to do more than just play games that Microsoft releases, like play burned discs and homebrew games.
The judge flipped his shit at the prosecution in a half-hour long tirade the other day, and today the case was dropped...
