As we're reported a few months back, Blizzard have officially agreed to make a movie based on their ever-popular Warcraft video game franchise. Initially, the task of filming was given to Sam Raimi, but he left the project before it even kicked off, so now the director's chair has been filled by Duncan Jones (best known for Moon and Source Code)...
Back in 2010, Legendary Entertainment bought the rights to make a flick based on BioWare's sci-fi action game, Mass Effect (Well, the last one was an action game anyway. RPG? Forget it!). However, writer Mark Protosevic (worked on Thor, I Am Legend) will no longer be penning the script...
Here's an interesting bit of news. You're probably wondering what the hell is going on with that World of Warcraft movie. Well, we still know precious little on the subject. What we did know for a fact was that Sam Raimi was going to be in the director's chair...
Legendary Pictures -- the movie production company responsible for flicks such as '300' and 'Watchmen' (and someday the World of Warcraft movie adaptation) -- has acquired the rights to create a motion picture based on BioWare's Mass Effect successful sci-fi RPG series (thanks Heat Vision)...
IMDB has just been updated with a bit of interesting info regarding the Warcraft movie. Apparently the flick is going to carry the title Warcraft: The Rise of the Lich King. The movie will most likely be released in 2011. Thanks

Don't think so.
Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures announced today that Sam Raimi signed on to direct the motion picture based on Blizzard 's Warcraft universe. Raimi directed the Spider-Man trilogy, he wrote and directed The Evil Dead and produced 30 Days Of Night...
I was just thinking about how Legendary Pictures could really do a great World of Warcraft movie, provided they find someone talented to sit in the director's chair. Anyhow, I wonder how the script is coming along. We haven't heard anything on the subject since last year's BlizzCon...
California based movie studio Legendary Pictures is best known for flicks like Batman Begins, Superman Returns, 10,000 BC and, of course, the recently released summer blockbuster The Dark Knight. Variety is running a story about Legendary now putting its efforts into co-financing and co-producing the movie "Gears of War" (along with Warner Bros...
