PC Gamers Get Mass Effect DLC for Free

Come May 28, PC gamers will be "Bringing Down the Sky" with the computer version of BioWare's Mass Effect. The company announced today that they plan to release the downloadable content which has been available on the X360 (for $5 bucks) since March, to PC gamers for free, provided they register on BioWare's community site (and they own a PC copy of the game of course).

Mass Effect 360 DLC Not in PC Version

Bad news for PC gamers who wanted to experience BioWare's additional Mass Effect content on their PCs. Diarmid Clarke, project director for Mass Effect PC, explains that Bring Down the Sky, the 360 DLC for Mass Effect, won't make it to the PC edition. That doesn't mean that we won't see other additional content for the PC version. In fact, BioWare said "Regarding additional content, we'll make an announcement soon." Mass Effect PC launches May 28.

Snazzy New HUD for Mass Effect PC

The latest round of screenshots for the PC version of Mass Effect reveals more of the game's revised Heads-Up Display, as well as the altered decryption mini-game. The redesigned HUD appears considerably more intuitive and was additionally fine-tuned to go along with the PC mouse/keyboard control standard. You can check out the five new screenshots right here.
