Resurgence, the latest multiplayer downloadable content for BioWare's Mass Effect 3, is going to be available soon, offering two new maps, six new unlockable characters, more weapons and new consumables. The ME 3 Resurgence Pack will be available on April 10 for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.

Evidently, it's happening folks. As promised, BioWare just Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, which is actually DLC "that will expand upon the events" of the company's recently released third installment in the popular space sage. More cinematic sequences were mentioned, in addition to epilogue scenes...

Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare, finally gives in, following a largely negative response the company received from its fanbase worldwide. He claims that he's very proud of what the development studio has achieved and considers Mass Effect 3 as their best work to date...

And there was me thinking that this was the worst Mass Effect 3 video released. Turns out, there's something worse (much, much worse): One of the worst ways to promote one's game. But hey, if it brings in more eager buyers, what the hell, right? That's what the folks at BioWare marketing were probably thinking. Well, either that or they must've been on crack to allow this royal turdness to go online.

EA officially confirms they have shipped 3.5 million units of Mass Effect 3 during the first week on sale. According to the well-known pulbisher, this is "the first pop culture event and the biggest entertainment launch of 2012." Wow, 'the first pop culture event.' Sounds swell. Anyway, BioWare also released this little trailer called 'The War Begins,' so might want to check it out:

I'm still trying to recover from the Mass Effect 3 avalanche of media, collecting Mass Effect 3 info, writing Mass Effect 3 news, the Mass Effect 3 review and, of course, playing the game itself. I've been thinking about this a lot. After my sheer disappointment with BioWare (think DA 2)...

Shepard fights for all of mankind and everyone else in the known universe, because they won't lift a finger to fight for their own existence (seriously, who the hell do these Salarians and Turians and other *ians think they are?). The story of the biggest badass in the galaxy comes to a close...

Since this is the week known as 'Mass Effect 3 Week' I'm inclined to draw your attention to this little, rather annoying piece of modern-day advertising. Promoting games is a serious business, sure. You expect to lure in as much customers as possible...

Incidentally, while we're on the subject of Mass Effect 3, it may interest you to know that nothing seems to be able to turn the current flow of generally positive reviews...
