Yep, yep, yep folks, Keri has a colossal smile all over here childishly bewildered face, and quite frankly so have I. Despite what BioWare did in the ending of the Mass Effect Trilogy, this is still one of the best video game franchises out there and certainly one of the games I love to return to. Well, now EA and BioWare have officially renamed Mass Effect 4 to Mass Effect: Andromeda and the E3 2015 trailer has arrived. Take a look: VIDEO: 1533549.mp4
Officially, details are still scarce, but as far as Mass Effect 4 is concerned there are a few things that were commented on by the developers. The game will have multiplayer and that Mass Effect 4 won't be another Dragon Age: Inquisition (in the sense that in only borrows some of the in-game technology, but that's it)...

So wait, the multiplayer feature in Mass Effect 3 was extremely successful, so BioWare is going to bring the feature back for the next Mass Effect? That's crazy talk! Sarcasm aside, this is indeed the case. Development director Chris Wynn tweeted that BioWare needs a producer to help get the online portion of Mass Effect 4 underway...
With the massive success of Dragon Age Inquisition, many have been wondering if BioWare would capitalize on that success by shoehorning that same format, style, etc. into Mass Effect 4. BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn went to NeoGAF to try to clear up the matter and assure fans that while Mass Effect 4 will use many of the same technologies from DAI, it will not be a DAI copycat...

Self-proclaimed industry insider Shinobi claims that he has been speaking with the Mass Effect 4 development team at BioWare, and he kindly posted what he knows of the development process on NeoGAF. In summary, he says that in talking with the team, he learned that the team started with 40 developers, and has slowly increased over time to speed up production...

We should probably expect a bit of Mass Effect news today, as it is N7 day and everything. First up on the menu is the announcement of the new lead writer for Mass Effect 4, Chris Schlerf, the lead writer from Halo 4. He's actually been the lead writer since November 2013, but BioWare has kept the development team under tight wraps...

BioWare remains rather secretive about its next addition to the Mass Effect series, albeit they didn't hesitate to share a few details (tiny details). Fair enough, the first thing would be that they are, in fact, not prepared to share anything concrete about the game at this time...
You don't have to shout. Just tweet instead. BioWare is interested in knowing what its community of devoted fans wants out of the company's upcoming new addition to the sci-fi franchise, Mass Effect. ME producer Michael Gamble asked via Twitter how much folks know Mass Effect and what they are hoping to see in the next game...

BioWare mustered the balls to show us a bit of Mass Effect 4. Well, unfortunately there was no actual gameplay shown yet, however the developers are eager to discuss the project and how far they're pushing the tech of the game. In other words, they're just teasing us at this point. Check it out: VIDEO: 944695.mp4 Poor Keri.
Here's something our resident writer Keri will be double-glad to hear. According to BioWare Montreal studio director Yanick Roy, Mass Effect 4 is "somewhere in the middle" stage of development. Now, I wonder will they have something prepared for the E3 2014 showfloor? Anyway...
BioWare is so far pleased with how the next Mass Effect game is coming along. "Great time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal," Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal, tweeted. "Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun," he added. We still don't know much about the game yet, other than it will not involve Commander Shepard. It's a Mass Effect game, so of course I'm excited no matter what.
Let's kick it up a notch... BAM! BioWare's Edmonton and Montreal General Manager Aaron Flynn has revealed via Twitter that the new Frostbite 3 engine, which was just announced along with Battlefield 4, will be used for both of its major titles in development...
There are two things we already know about Mass Effect 4 (or whatever they plan to call it). For now we know that BioWare wrapped up the story of Commander Shepard, so you won't be hearing about him anymore. Also, the development studio decided to utilize the Frostbite 2 engine to power the new Mass Effect game...
BioWare has officially confirmed that Commander Shepard won't be the central character in the next Mass Effect game. "This is really our starting point. Now the Mass Effect universe is vast, and very, very rich. So at this point in time, we don't even know what kind of time frame we're going to be in...
