Good morning, everyone. I trust you all had a terrific weekend. Mine was mostly about family and being away from TVs, monitors, handhelds or any possible variations. Nice to get a break from technology. However, considering my geekish nature, I couldn't help but miss it a little...

I sometimes struggle to find meaning and purpose to this life. That kind of pessimism lasts for about 10 fucking seconds, and then I realize I love my daughter, I love my girlfriend, I love my work and -- this is probably gonna sound weird -- I even love all of you guys...

Hello there, folks. It's going to be a week of interesting releases. Here's what awaits us: The Witness - the latest game from Jonathan Blow (the maker of Braid). Final Fantasy Explorers - umm... yeah... there's that. Rise of the Tomb Raider (PC) - PC gamers finally get to hang out with Lara Croft again...

Jose Gonzalez has reached out all the way to my hometown here in Serbia, to perform live, and as expected it was a truly lovely performance. Here's a little snap from the concert: Fell in love with his music the first time I heard it in Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption (2010). Here's an example of the guy making Massive Attack's Teardrop sound even awesomer :)

Dark Night and the Akrham Knight. Yep, right now I'm still making my way across the rainy skies of Gotham, as good old Batsy stands up the city's eccentric criminal elite. Probably gonna spend at least two more days with this game, because it's flipping huge...

Yep, another weekend is behind me. This one was all about much needed rest. Yep, yep, yep. But now it's time to get back on track. I noticed that there's still a huge amount of games I didn't manage to include in our E3 updates, so, I'll get to work on that ASAP...

So, it's been a very Fallout-ish week, following Bethesda's announcement, and now people are going back to the Fallout series like crazy, as you'll soon see when I post the Steam weekly sales charts. As for me, well, I finally had some time to myself at the weekend...

Someone tossed just the right book into myself. Time to re-read the right stuff. You can't go wrong with a fucking classic.

Working on the Alien: Isolation review as fast as I can folks. I've written so many things about this game and I don't even know why. Maybe it's because I've finally played a game that made me shit my pants (several times) and I cannot remember the last time that happened...

Back at the office... Noooooooooooo!!! This sucks!  Just kidding. Glad to be back, folks (although I tremendously am not). I hope you didn't give Keri a hard time - knowing you lot, you probably have. Still, I imagine she's pretty used to all the sword fights and cock-slapping that takes place on a daily basis around here.  Happy Mondays, everyone. Now, let's start fishing for news.  Also, here's another little picture for you guys from Amsterdam:

Today's Memorial Day and gaming news appears to have suffered on account of this. Either that or the industry is asleep on this slow, slow Monday morning. By the way, check out the first gameplay footage from The Order: 1886, if you've missed it during the weekend.

It's Monday, deal with it.  Anyway, moving swiftly on. This friend of mine wanted to sell me his Mazda MX5, but alas I didn't have enough cash to make the purchase. He, of course, sold it to someone else and then bought himself a fine Subaru Impreza WRX (2008)...

I want to be immersed in a game as much as I was when I played Dragon Age: Origins. Or Neverwinter Nights and all of its expansion packs. Or Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Or Red Dead Redemption. Or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Or Half-Life 2. That's clearly too much to ask these days.

What an absolutely revolting, gray and hideously repellent Monday morning. Cloudy, but by looking at the sky you can tell there's no chance of rain. It's the sort of morning you'd prefer to spend in bed and tell everyone else to fuck off...
