In my excitement and the highest anticipation for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, I couldn't contain myself so I stopped by Metacritic to check out what the critics are saying (yes, I still think it's important to find out what they are saying before I see a movie...
There's a brand new trailer for Peter Jackson's new movie, The Hobbit. Check it out! The trailer can mostly be described as, pure awesome sauce!
I'm sure most of you haven't missed the news that Peter Jackson will be making The Hobbit into a movie trilogy, as opposed to filming just two movies as initially intended. Now, I'm not entirely sure if this is a good idea. When they made The Lord of the Rings there was plenty of source material to draw from and with The Hobbit, it's just like one book and that's it...
The trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has arrived, people. Oh boy! Goose bumps... the song. That's Fran and Pete's touch. Well done you New Zealand bastards! Of course, apart from Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro and Philippa Boyens also assisted with the script, so there's probably little to be worried about here. My geekish gut tells me it's going to be a winner. Let the hypage begin... rightly so.
It's been a while, but Peter Jackson and his film crew have released another developer diary, explaining how far they are up to in the production of the upcoming The Hobbit movies. Have a look: Via

Some familiar locations were shown, which will no doubt be recognized by fans of the Lord of the Rings lore. You'll also see Sir Ian McKellen (a.k.a. Gandalf) on set, Martin Freeman (a.k.a. Bilbo Baggins) and others. Enjoy! Thanks,
It's good to know that the making of The Hobbit is going well and that Peter Jackson and his crew have really kicked things into high gear. One of the things revealed now in early stages of production is that they are shooting the movie at 48 fps, as opposed to the usual 24 fps which was always a standard for movie makers in Hollywood and anywhere else for that matter...
For those among you still interested in the Hobbit movie, here's what we know about it so far. It's good to see that filming has finally kicked off and that Peter Jackson is in the director's chair once again. If there's anybody out there who's not gonna fuck this up, it would have to be him. So, let's hope they deliver another engrossing motion picture and that we'll get a proper, epic, big-screen version of Tolkien's classic fantasy tale.
Well, don't know if any of you heard, but looks like Elijah Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, will have a role to play in Peter Jackson's upcoming Hobbit flicks. Another interesting fact is that P. J. is going to start filming the two...

The director spends his free time playing through title like Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2. "I'm enjoying these games more than I am enjoying films at the moment," he said to Ain't It Cool News...
Curse my rotten and slow brain cells! Remember how I talked about humor a couple of weeks ago? Well, I failed to mention these guys and, of course, the one and only Peter Sellers (great guy, wonderful actor and one of the best comedians ever). For the Goons, I advise you to check out this old video (don't forget to look at part 2 and part 3). Also, to know a bit more about Peter Sellers, give this old interview a looksy.
Peter Jackson, unfortunately, won't be working on a Halo-branded feature film, as revealed during the recently held Comic Con in San Diego. When questioned on the subject the Hollywood director responded: "Halo project is no longer happening, it sort of collapsed when the movie didn't end up happening...
