Last week, a rumor surfaced that the Ubisoft team behind Rayman Legends was working on a 2D version of Prince of Persia. Then yesterday, in the wee hours of the morning, the following tease erupted on Twitter: The tweet comes from Drew James, who is thought to be employed at Ubisoft Reflections. Shortly after he tweeted this, he closed his Twitter account. Of course, Ubisoft has refused to comment.

According to French website Le Portail du Jeu Vidéo, Ubisoft Montpelier is working on a 2D Prince of Persia using the engine from Rayman Legends. Post turned up via NeoGAF, revealing a video described as a "rough cut-demo" for a project from Ubisoft called "Osiris" being developed by the makers of Assasin's Creed. Check out the trailer for 'Osiris' here. The video is now being linked to the recent stories of a new Prince of Persia game. Whatever this is, chances are we might get an announcement soon. Possibly during the GDC in March.

Ubisoft's 'Epilogue' -- new downloadable content for Prince of Persia -- has been delayed, which means it won't be launched today, as expected. Instead, Ubi plans to offer gamers a chance to grab the DLC on March 5, both on Xbox Live and PSN. By the way, the DLC's new mission shows what happened after the original game's end scene.
