Ridley Scott's Alien reboot, reset or whatever the hell you wanna call it, has just got a new name - "Prometheus" and, apparently, Noomi Rapace has been hired to star in it. Hm, what weird, weird name... Anyway, the good news is that this isn't strictly an Alien reboot...

Ah Ridley Scott - the man who's work showed us that heroes in sandals and skirts can still look cool on the big screen. Having made one of the best sci-fi flicks of all time (Blade Runner) the well-known movie director single-handedly reinvigorated the Hollywood epic with The Gladiator...

Alright, I've watched Ridley Scott's Robin Hood last night and I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it. The director stays devoted to his traditional elements, all of which fall neatly into place and give viewers a hefty portion of modern-day big-budget Hollywood style storytelling...

So, Ridley Scott's Robin Hood will be out next month and I know for a fact that regardless of its annoyingly overused setting most of you are going to watch it. You can't deny that Ridley Scott is a great director. I'm just worried this will look and feel too much like Gladiator. Well, the trailer seems to indicate so anyway. The action, the pacing, the characters... practically all the elements are there. We'll see. It can still be a damn good movie.

And now it's time for Robin Hood: Revenge of the Gladiator! All joking aside, I am going to watch this because Ridley Scott is the creator of Blade Runner (one of the greatest sci-fi stories ever brought to the big screen) and nothing can change that (not even crappy movies like G.I. Jane - shame on you Ridley... oh well, guess you can't win 'em all).
