Sorry for the exceedingly late update, guys. But I've had some unexpected family matter to attend to, which required going out of town for a couple of days. Also, I've been driving for five hours without a break, so I'm pretty exhausted. I'll get started with the news ASAP...

Hm, I fancy a proper single-player RPG. Oh wait, here's a nice-looking one, developed by Piranha Bytes. Yes, those guys responsible for Risen and the Gothic series. Let's see what they've come up with for the sequel, shall we. Here's a snip: This game is all about pirates and doing all sorts of pirate things...

Risen 2: Dark Waters is all about pirates. There are pirates a lot of 'em. Okay, I admit it, I just really am not all that crazy about pirates (well, I did enjoy 'Pirates' on the C64... and the original Monkey Island... and the character of Jack Sparrow... but that's about it). Anyway, Piranha Bytes has informed us that their upcoming RPG is ready to launch: The game is going to be available for PC tomorrow, while the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were recently delayed.

Over a month ago, the good people at Piranha Bytes have revealed that the console versions of their RPG, Risen 2, is going to be released during April. That's for PC gamers. They also confirmed that console owners would have to wait until the end of May...

Piranha Bytes offers a few more details regarding the story in their forthcoming role-playing game, Risen 2: Dark Waters. Have a peek: Just a bit of a reminder - Risen 2 is slated to arrive on April 24 for PC, while the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions are going to be available on May 22.

Continuing their series of Risen 2 'Making Of' videos, the folks at Piranha Bytes talk about what it takes to create in-game music in the upcoming RPG:
