One thing I really enjoyed about Far Cry 2, was the opportunity to explore and move forward any way you wish. You were given complete freedom to carry out various tasks in a highly realistic environment too (well, that's if we exclude the incredibly annoying random enemy patrols appearing and reappearing every few miles on the road)...
Far Cry 3 has officially been confirmed by Ubisoft Montreal. This is exciting news for us, because we really did enjoy Far Cry 2, despite some of its flaws (you can read more about that in our Far Cry 2 review). "If you were seeing freezing in Splinter Cell - it's been resolved. No need to do anything, just play and enjoy," said Ubi via Twitter.
Ubisoft is currently looking into an issue with the Xbox 360 version of Splinter Cell: Conviction, which just hit stores in the US. The bug causes the game to become unresponsive. There is no long-term solution at this time, although Ubisoft Technical Support offers a workaround posted on official SC forums: Hm...
