If you're an Xbox Live Gold member, cheer up. Things aren't that gloomy. Microsoft has confirmed that players who are Xbox Live Gold members can download The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for free until the end of January. As soon as The Witcher 2 giveaway ends, the title will be replaced by a different game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to arrive to Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 on May 19, 2015. So be ready.

In the next few weeks, Microsoft will be cutting their free version of Xbox Music, their Spotify-esque streaming service. On December 1st, there will no longer be an ad-supported version, and the only way you'll be able to access your tunes via Xbox is through a paid subscription. Xbox Music is also available via PC, tablet, and smartphones. Microsoft has not elaborated as to why they are cutting the ad-supported version.
