Microsoft says that they have sold 1.1 million units of Xbox 360 and Xbox One combined during the quarter, which ended on June 30. This marks an increase when compared to the 1 million shifted in the same period in 2013 when the company had only Xbox 360 on sale, thus raising revenue of the Xbox platform up 14% ($104 million) since the previous year...

So, anyway, it's my birthday and all that. I am excpeting a lot visitors, well-wishers and distant relations! Hm, in my case, it'll be just distant relations.  Also, it looks like I'm the only person in the known universe playing Watch Dogs on the Xbox 360.

Looking at Metacritic right now and there appears to be a shortage of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 reviews. It looks like the gaming press is already shifting its eye towards next-gen. Not saying that this is wrong or anything, but it just seems weird to to me that there are seriously no reviews for certain 360 and PS3 games. For example, Wolfenstein: TNO and Bound By Flame.

Microsoft will be adding two more wireless controllers to its Chrome Series for the Xbox 360—black and purple. Each will sell for $55. In the US, the black controller will be exclusively at Wal-Mart and the Microsoft Store, and the purple controller will only be found at Best Buy and the Microsoft Store. No word yet where these controllers will sell internationally.

Shopping market research firm InfoScout surveyed Black Friday shoppers at both Walmart and Target regarding which video game console they purchased. The answer really shocked me, as the Xbox One took the number 1 spot with the Xbox 360 right behind. Now the Xbox 360 numbers could be largely attributed to Walmart's Black Friday mark-down...
