Microsoft cut the price of the Xbox One in the UK a few days ago, and now Sony has returned in kind, making the PS4 the same price as Microsoft's console.  A new PS4 bundle with FIFA 15 is now available on Amazon UK for £330, £20 less than a standalone PS4...

The Xbox One was set to release in China on September 23rd, but Microsoft is going to postpone the release date to "later in 2014." Their reasoning for the delay was just as vague. "Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China," the company said in a statement...

When Microsoft announced they were offering a retail version of the Xbox One sans Kinect, I was incredibly skeptical at how well that would work, because in my personal experience with the Xbox One, the dashboard is nigh un-navigable without voice commands...

We've all heard of console bundles, but this upcoming deal from Microsoft isn't your typical bundle. Next week, from September 7-13, anyone who purchases an Xbox One will get a free game of their choice. The only strings are that the game must be retail, must be new, cannot be a preorder, and the Xbox One must also be new, not refurbished...

Just in case those who buy a Kinect-less Xbox One decide they do indeed want the Kinect, Microsoft will be selling it separately for $149.99 on October 7th. So far, that date and price is only for North America. A release date has not been set in Europe...

If reports are true, Microsoft will be offering 24-hour game trials with a few games. After the latest Xbox One system update, a redditor stumbled upon the screen below and naturally captured it for the world to see. If this screenshot is accurate with what Microsoft is planning, the company will offer a Free Play Day with Gold program, which looks to be another perk for Gold subscribers. According to Game Politics, an official press release on the matter will be forthcoming.

The next Xbox One update for August will add quite a bit of functionality to the system, such as support for 3D Blu-Rays and a host of social features. Players will be able to "like" friends' activities and comment on them (like a Facebook for your Xbox Friends), and players will receive notifications whenever someone likes or shares something with them (like Facebook!)...

At the Develop conference, Microsoft has sadly reported that the company will not implement one feature they promised at E3 2013, and that's that the consumer Xbox One consoles could also serve as developer kits. "We were in the early stages of Xbox One looking at the idea of a retail kit that could be turned into a development kit...
